Remington 20 ga. buttstock removal?

I inherited a Remington 20 ga. Sportsman-58 and its my first gun. I shot about 60 shells with it the other day and noticed the stock was alittle wobly. When cleaning the gun, i tried to get the stock off but it wouldnt come off. Its kinda slidy up and down and wobly still and i was wondering how to make it tight on the gun, and if i can take it off (if this is necessary). thanks

I see nobody has replied so maybe I can help....a little. I'm not familiar with the 58 but most shotgun buttstocks are bolted from the rear...through the recoil pad.

Yes
There should be a bolt going through the back of the stock into the reciever
Remove the butt pad
Use and longflat head screwdriver or a 3/8 ( I think)nut driver to tighten or remove the butt stock
