Plans for Rotating Target Stands
I need plans for stand that rotate targets 90 degrees for my pistol range. Ideally it would handle 6 target frames.
Also any plans for shooting benches for standing pistol shooting and seated rifle shooting.

I make a lot of metalic spinning targets. They are pretty easy to make if you can cut metal and weld. One of my favorites uses old hand truck wheels/rims for the center pivot. I weld on arms of sqare stock turned 45 degrees or sheet metal (11 to 7ga) so the thin edge of the material faces the shooter.
1/8" (11ga) will last forever with .22's. 1/4" thick mild steel is OK for .38 to 9mm but curls and looks pretty rough after a hundred hits. If you can get any higher levels of steel plate they hold up much better. H500 is perfect and can be found from metal fabrication shops as "drop". It makes a nice bell sound when you hit it.

Thanks
Thanks for the tips. What I am puzzling over is how to "gang" 6 stands together so they all turn at same time and are operated by an electric motor (auto wiper motor perhaps). I have pretty well figured it out in my head but hoped to get some plans and specs to save some time. The targets themselves are paper on cardboard backers held in steel channel frames.

Try looking at Surplus Center for a motor, bearings or anything else you may need. Be carefull there is another site with a very similar name. They sell all sorts of odd motors, engines, bearings, sprockets... anything you might need to power your targets.
