Mossberg 535 front swivel stud

I bought an Uncle Mike's swivel for my new 535 but when I installed the front swivel stud that came with the gun, I noticed the stud hole is 90 degrees off with respect to the swivel.

Removing the washer on the stud didn't help as it moved about 180 degrees from it's previous position.

The stud is already sitting at the base so it can't go lower. The threaded post is very short so adding another washer might not give it a good hold.

Any suggestions? Take it up with Mossberg?

Went to Mossberg

I went to Mossberg with my problem because the stud came with the gun. They will mail me a new stud but if I still get the same problem, the magazine cap is the culprit. That would suck since that part is attached to the barrel with a locking washer.

I can't help you on this one.........
when I ran to a problem like this I made a new part on my
Lathe & milling machine combo & threaded the part

Winchester Model 100

I'am trying to remove the stock for refinishing but i can't get it seperated from the barrel. HELP It is 308 winchester model 100 semi with 3 shot clip. I had all the screws off that i could find but it still would not come apart. The gun is probably 30+ years old. Hope you can help me out..THANKS

Anyone own a Colt Woodsman Match Target?

Anyone own a Colt Woodsman Match Target, First Series? Based on the serial number, it was made prior to WWII. I just inherited one from my uncle and there doesn't seem to be a working safety on it! I have had a couple people very experienced in handguns from one of the local gun clubs take it apart and they couldn't see any indication that there is anything wrong. It even has the people on a Colt forum baffled! And yet, no one has ever heard of a pistol that didn't have a safety. I'm going to take it to a gun shop about 1 1/2 hours from here in a couple weeks that claims to be very knowledgeable about the old Colts, but thought I might be able to get some insight before I left. So if anyone her has one, I would really like to hear from you. It has to be a First Series, though; the Second and Third Series are a lot different.
