Ruger SP101
Have a chance to buy a Ruger SP101 for 415.00 Never been shot. Has about 15 rounds of rat shot and about the same of .38HP and comes with a holster. Looks like I can pick up a new one for about the same. Should I get the new one?

Holey Moley, prices sure have jumped up there, haven't they? I don't have that much in a S&W Mod.37, Colt .45 ACP Commander (60 series), and a Ruger Super Redhawk .44 mag.!! Goes to show times are a changin'.
Personally, I'd go for the personal sale, but that's only because there's no Federal paper trail to speak of.

Buy the old never fired --ammo & hoster-------the list price today-$589.00
I had one for a couple of years--good carry gun-good for close range self defense.
If you buy a larger grip--the gun becomes more comfortable.
This gun also comes in .357 mag. w/ a larger grip--same price.
Whatever floats your boat....................

Got the SW and Commander by loaning a guy some money against them. I'll not divulge the amount if you pulled my fingernails out by the roots, but you'd cry. He came back and told me just to keep them as he had to move on. I had them checked through GCIC and NCIC and they were clean.
Airman, c'mon down, weather is great and we have a range about 10 miles from the house. I'll show you some good dry vented crawls.
Not a bad price for it, and it looks like a stout handgun. Get some good grips for your fat hands.

I got big hands, so those that come on small framers just don't cut it. Make it more difficult to conceal in ankle holsters, though. The stock ones on this one seem adequate, though.
