Gun value
I have a book of gun values but it is a little old and oddly I can't find it. 
Was wondering if anybody can help me out. I am bartering for a Ruger Red Label 12Ga over and under shotgun. I believe it is a pre '93 because it has the short chokes. It is not in new shape but the wood is not dinged and there is a couple small rust spots that I'm sure can be removed. I would say of a rateing of poor, good, very good, and new I would say it is good - very good. Any thoughts on a fair price for todays values?

Wow TI..I see everything from about 800 to 1400 depending on condition, accessories, bbl length..all sorts of stuff.

Well, I'm trading labor for it. He is remodeling a house that his son and friends are renting for school and as a investment for when the housing market bounces back. I am finishing taping (also helped Sheetrock) the basement which is a bath, one bedroom and a small living room. We have already talked about that I will do it for the shotgun or a different one if I don't like the Ruger. I just want to put a number on it for reference. I was thinking it is about $1200 so I'm not far off.

My son has one about that age, maybe a couple years newer, and I was thinking he paid about $1,000 new. He loves it, but like most of us doesn't get to use it as much as he would like.
