Which choke?

i just bought a mossberg 500 with a smooth barrel and was wondering which choke you use with the rifled slugs? i also bought winchester rifled slugs when i bought it but don't want to fire it with the wrong choke in.

Welcome to the forums!! Why do you want to choke a 500? Just curious.

boneyard....if you read the prior posts...the best would be a cylinder bore or rifled barrel. Either that or at a max...an improved cylinder choke. If yours are interchangeable..it's easy.

Hello
The best choke for slug is a rifled choke, you can get one at any good sporting goods store. Shoot Sabot slugs, we hit the bottom of pop cans at close to 100 yards with a scoped shotgun. For regular rifled slugs shoot with a cylinder bore tube or Improved cylinder, they won't be as accurate as Sabots with a rifled tube, you'll have a rough time getting five shots on a paper plate at 75 yards.
Be safe
