caster. I cannot answer that question, but if you have time and skills to build one, it does not appear to be very difficult. They do them sometimes on those home building shows on like TLC channel. (A guess on the channel) . I would do a search on the TV channels likely to do that and you can get plans, videos on how to do it. Hoefully this is helpful. Peace: e3 - spamman

Buying fireplace mantels online
Go to your favorite search engine and type in fireplace mantels, and you will find many sources. Many home centers offer prefab mantels. Old ones can be found at some antique shops.
