pics of vent free fireplace
Does anyone have installation pictures of a vent free gas fireplace with the TV or entertainment area on top?
I am installing the fireplace and have created a platform on top so I can put the TV/DVD/VCR.
I am just looking for ideas on what it should look like.
Fireplace is Majestic 42" wide
TV is 32" screen

Entertainment component failures are invariably caused by their own heat generation and failed solder joints.
I wouldn't recommend putting anything on top of a vent free fireplace unit. The HEAT will be too much. Don't do it!

Vent Free is Dangerous!!!!
Many areas of the country have made vent free fireplaces of any kind illegal. These fireplaces are NOT really vent free - they are venting into the room they where they are installed. As of January 1, 2003, Vent Free fireplaces will be ILLEGAL because they are dangerous. Anyone in the room when the fireplace is on are breathing in the stuff that should be vented to the outdoors. Maybe you could do a Google search on safty and find out more information.
