Fireplace Surface Sealer
I am using a High Gloss Finish Surface Sealer made by Miracle Sealants Co. which was recommended at Home Depot.
I used it to shine up the bricks around the fireplace, but can I use it on the bricks inside as well? It is a wood burner that I am converting to gas. Will the sealer be able to withstand the heat or is their a risk of toxic fumes?

Sealing brick fireplace
Do not seal bricks in interior of fireplace with brick sealer. If you have a need to paint interior of fireplace, there are special heat resistant paints available.
Have your chimney cleaned and inspected by a licensed chimney specialist before converting your fireplace. Check with local building inspector regarding permits and inspections for your project.
