removal of gas fireplace
Help! We've purchased a 60 year old home with a fireplace that has a gas system in it. We have been told not to use it where do we begin to rome the old and convert to a regular old fireplace?
There doesn't seem to be much help down here in NC!

You should try and find someone in Concrete and Masonry. If you can't find a good fireplace store or installer. I'm sure that your local building official might be able to help with some references and/or your local lumber yard.
