damper

I need a damper door ,the prices i received were about 250-300 rang. There was a damper door put in my fire place so i dont need the masonry but the door is missing. Are damper doors all in one size or not?Im having a hard time finding them thank you

Cool

Nope, damper doors are not all one size.
You need to measure your damper frame, and check at a building supply house that sells them.
Good Luck!

damper door

Thanks for the info, now im new to this but what would you recommend getting another damper door or putting a new damper on top of the chimney? They are both the same price.

I recommend the damper on top of the chimney. It will keep moisture and critters out when the fireplace is not in use. Also, it is easier to install.
