Tile For Front of Fireplace

Our house was built in 1924. Sometime during the last 78 years someone removed the tile that had been on the front. The house is craftsman style and we need to find tile appropriate to the 1920's to restore the fireplace. We have had the chimney rebuild with flue and damper added, also had a cap installed. The firebox was rebuilt and we are having a log set installed this week. All will be up to local building code standards. Help in finding tile will be appreciated. Thanks~!~

Bungalow Jeff - Thanks for the suggetions. Those sites show some beautiful tile and there is a retailer in LaJolla that carries them.

Keep up the good work you are doing helping us all.

Glad to help. You should swing by the American Bungalow magazine web site (www.ambungalow.com). There is a simple, but helpful forum dedicated to arts and crafts style and bungalows. If you are not getting the magazine, I highly recommend it. The magazine and web site is a great resource for period design. However, always come back here for the technical stuff.
