Fireplace insert question
I have a woodburning fireplace. Do i need an insert for it to heat the living room. It does have two blowers on the sides of the fireplace with a vent about two feet above each blower. I haven't tried to use the fireplace as a small heat source before and I was just wondering. Thank you

Inserts
Inserts make sense because the average masonry wood burning fireplace can actually cause a negative 10% energy loss every time you use it.
The reason is that a regular fireplace can pull in more colder air to actually get to burn and keep burning than it produces.
Inserts can increase fireplace efficiency to near 100%.
