Insulation and glass doors

I just installed a new set of glass door and fireplace screen. They give you insulation to put in the channel of the frame. Is this safe or do I need to worry that a spark can set the insulation on fire. I have a irregular fireplace face so the frame in not flush one side exposing more of the insulation. They even give you a strip to run along the bottom that is right in front of the firebox. The instructions state the insulation is to protect the finish of the frame. Is the insulation fireproof?

Yes it is. But if you need more to fill in dont get just the fiberglass. It wont burn but melt. Go to afireplace company they will have insulation called rock wool.
