Question Chimney through peak of roof?

I installed a wood stove and the flue piping to the ceiling support. When I started to stack the chimney, I found out that the chimney would be going through the peak of the roof. Is this ok? Will it cause any problems? Is it within code to set it up this way or do I need to find another way to position it?

If on the peak of the roof, how will you place the flashing and storm collar? Building codes tend to vary from area to area and can be confirmed with the local building inspector. Manufacturer's instructions for vent and chimney tend to be very specific. Perhaps the following article will be helpful at http://www.woodstove.com/pages/prefab_chimney.html
