Paper

I have been told not to start or use paper with any kind of colored ink on it to start a fire. Will this leave a residue on our pipes? Thanks, Sherie

When burned, glossy and colored paper can release toxins in the air inside your home.

That makes alot of sence.. I know you not suppose to burn Christmas wrappings.. I wasn't thinking of the glossy part, was thinking the regular color one like the comics.

nearly all of the inks used in modern printing are water based and don't release any more toxins than a wood fire. as long as your fireplace is properly vented and drawing good don't worry about it.

if we're not supposed to eat animals why are they made out of meat?

I've always heard not to use the glossy paper. I use regular newspaper with colered ink. I bought a big box of Fat Wood and just a few pieces of that works great.
