Does anyone know if it's ok to use galvanized woodstove pipe inside the house? I read somewhere that it puts off noxious fumes. Any help much appreciated.

Use black iron or stainless steel. Zinc oxide (released when galvanized pipe is heated) is toxic.

re woodstove pipe reply

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! I drilled the damper holes and almost installed it today. I decided to wait one more day to see if I got a reply and I'm sure glad it did. Mary
