Adding Thermostat to HeatnGlo Tiara 1 Stove - Wiring Questions

Hi All,
I'm new to this thread and I hope you can help. I'm trying to add a thermostat to our HeatnGlo Tiara 1 Stove. I don't know which wires go where. The thermostat is a Honeywell RTH221B.

The contractor who did our basement ran speaker wire in the wall to the thermostat spot. The fireplace installer connected those speaker wires to a brown and red wire coming from the stove. I can't see where the brown and red wire connect to the stove because I don't want to take the whole back panel off.

The thermostat ports look like they're labelled as single letter colors. I tried R (red) and W (white). I also tried R (red) and B (brown) .

Will the speaker wire work?
Will this thermostat work?
Can anyone tell which wire should go where?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forums.

Basically, any wire will work in that application.

Take the two wires that the installer ran for you and touch them together. The fireplace should light.
If yes..... then you will use the R and W terminals on the new thermostat.
