Question Location of propane fire pit

I realize propane fire pits are designated for outdoor use only but.... can it be located on a 10 x 30 outdoor patio or lanai that is open to the weather only on one of the 30ft sides and covered by an overhanging ceiling ??

Read the installation manual for the appliance carefully. It ought to describe what you can and cannot do in terms of locating the appliance.

Just for openers, the burners in such fire pits are usually not bunsen burners. Bunsen burners are resistant to making carbon monoxide and soot when operated properly. The kind of burner you have is like a candle flame, which easily produces carbon monoxide and soot if the flame doesn't burn completely in the open air.

So, installing your fire pit in a walled in space may not provide the ventilation needed to keep people safe from hazardous combustion products. I don;t know that is a problem, but it illustrates that there might be problems that aren't apparent that require care when locating the equipment.

Follow those directions for a safe installation.
