Need some help with building "cubby" above gas fireplace insert.

Hello, long story short I need to build a small inset "cubby" in the wall above my gas fireplace insert. I'm not sure if this "cubby" would get hot from the radiant heat from the fireplace vent pipe inside the wall behind the fireplace.

The inset box would be framed with 2x4 and then boxed out with drywall.
It would be placed up in the center between the two studs and just ABOVE the outlets.

Do you think that is high enough away from the insert to not be affected by the radiant heat? Id say the bottom of the box would be roughly 3-4 feet from the top of the insert.

Should I wrap the outside of the cubby (inside the wall) with some sort of reflective insulation to help keep heat away from the box? or is that a fire hazard?

Thanks for any help!

The vent pipe is vented straight out the back of the fireplace out through the exterior wall right behind it.

The cubby will be holding the cable box, modem and router to keep everything out of sight. There will be a large flat screen tv covering the cubby.
