Propane Stove Wont Turn Off

Hey, New to Forum. Just got home from a day of snowmobiling and my house was 85F when I returned. The thermostat is set at 65F. I tried to turn off with the wall switch and it kept on going. Replaced the batteries, Kept on going. I can manually turn off the stove but when I go from pilot to on it is full throttle. The Temperature on the wall thermostat went down when I had the stove turned off manually so there is some communication there between the stove and the wall thermostat. Any Input on what to look for would be great. THanks in Advance!!

The temperature on the thermostat went down because the room temperature dropped after you manually turned the stove off. That is normal as most thermostats display the room temperature.

We will have to tell us about your "stove". Is it a free standing gas stove? Fireplace gas logs? What brand? What type controls does it have?
