Sealing fireplace doors

I am renovating an older fireplace that has the doors mounted against a masonry stone background. The doors donít seat very tightly to the wall or to the Heatilator behind. Originally it was stuffed with fiberglass insulation around the edges but that doesnít give a very good air seal. If I place a new door on this fireplace what can I use or how can I seal it so that it has a better airtight seal? I do have adequate air entering the burn chamber from another source. The design of the fireplace is such that I cannot and do not want to put an insert into it.
