How long of run can a copper pipe be from a black iron pipe.

The fireplace and dryer are split off a 1/2 pipe using copper line to the fireplace which is approximately 15ft long Is this to code or good enough to run both at the same time?

Confused. Could you provide line diagrams showing current piping and what you want?

I assume you are talking about running a gas line?

I do not know of any codes limiting the length of permanently installed gas lines. You do need to properly size your gas line for the length of run.

Average consumption........
A dryer 25k Btu and a gas fireplace can be 30k - 40k Btu...... that's 65k Btu.

What did that 1/2" connect to.... something larger ?

Straight run

The pipe is basically a straight run. It starts as a 3/4" by the hot water heater then reduces to 1/2". Splits into two smaller copper lines from the 1/2" to the dryer and fireplace. One copper run is 8ft the other 15ft.

A tee at the end of the 3/4" ?
