I installed natural gas logs in my house and piped it with 1/2" black pipe. My question is do I need a regulator in the line or is the regulator on the logs enough?
I called the manufacturer of the logs and they said that the regulator that the pipe comes into from the street is all that is required for the log set. I am happy I do not have to spend any more money.
I currently have two wood fireplaces in my house that I would like to convert to natural gas. The fireplaces are metal inserts with a brick front. Can I put in a gas insert or gas logs? Do these just vent through the existing chimney?
Thanks!
