Question Type of shoes for construction

I'm going to be part of building a Habitat for Humanity house (1 day a week) and want to get some good workboots/shoes. I'd also like them to double as grass mowing shoes because my back yard is at about a 45 degree angle and I'd feel a lot safer if I had steel-toe shoes. If I want to get a shoe for both activities, should I get a shoe with regular, steel or fiberglass shank? Any brand recommendations? Although I'm a woman, I have big feet (size 10 wide), so could wear a man's shoe if I had to.

Thanks for your help.

Mason makes a very good boot, as does Wolverine, get the ones the with the padded tops, I've always worn the steel toes, couldn't tell what kind of shank it has, regular I guess. I like them to be sort of short too like hiking boots, but that's just what's comfortable for me.

Hope that helps.
