Leveling A Large Concrete Floor

Many thanks in advance for all who read and may advise.

I have a home I just purchased. I'm in the process of laying ceramic tile in the kitchen--it's going beautifully--a lot of hard work and callouses on my hands from that trowl and cutting, but I'll live.

The kitchen goes over a threshold into a large utility room area and then a 1/2 bathroom. That part of the house was once a porch and the previous owners enclosed and made these rooms. The problem is the floor slants because porches slant to run the rain water and snow from them. I need to level this long concrete area floor the lowest part needs to come up about 1 inch to meet the highest part of the floor (it slopes). I'm looking at about 160 square feet.

What is the best material and method to use? Is this a do-it-yourself project?

Many thanks!
Lisa
