Flooring loads

Ihave just put in a lrge aquarium in my home. I estimate that this weights 1600 pound when filled with water. I also think that It covers 8 sq. feet. Should I be concerned that the floors may not support this load?

The ubc (uniform building coded-min residential requirements) suggests joist live loads at 40lbs. per square foot. Your joists may be stouter than minimum but I doubt the aquarium wouldn't be overloading them. If it is first floor locate it over a support beam and footing (pier block), on the 2nd floor try to site it over a lower floor wall. lol.....jeff
