crane height

How high should the boom be able to go to lift roof truss into place on a 2 story home? The taller the boom the more costly the rental so I prefer not to get something extremely large.

I would say...only as high as the walls, plus the trusses, plus maybe 10 feet or so. The crane will probably only set them on the end of the roof(probably all at once), then the builders will slide them down one at a time and attach them, so if your asking thinking that the boom will have to drop a truss in the center without hitting the wall, its probably not so.
