decking joists

I need to know if anybody sells decking that you can put roll type flooring directly on. Sturdi floor reccomends that u do not put it directly on their decking......

underlayment is $$$$ and I am looking for alternatives plus time savings

thanks

I think you will find that just about all finish flooring product makers recommend a layer of underlayment between the subfloor & their product. If you're planning on using some kind of a roll vinyl product or linoleum, you can just lay down a layer of luan underlayment. This will give you a very smmoth surface over which to lay the finish flooring. The pros that monitor the Vinyl & Linoleum forum in the decorating section may have some other thoughts. Good luck!
