Second Story Bathroom - Cement Floor
I am in the process of remodeling my bathroom, which was remodeled in the 60's. When I go to take out the floor, I find the floor is made up the same way the walls were made up of. They used chicken wire with concrete on the floor and then tiled over it. I am replacing the floor. What would be the best way to replace it? Should I tear up all the concrete and then lay plywood, moister barrier and then backerboard? I am not sure how to approach this? Any help will be appreciated.

Your "plan" sounds good to me...
I'm not going to ask why you're replacing the floor.... I'm sure you have a reason.... so..... demo to the floor joists... replace with plywood/moisture barrier/CBU/tile (I'm assuming tile, right - otherwise no need for CBU).

It is ceramic tile right now and is has a lot of loose tiles. I am also putting in a clawfoot tub in place of the bath and shower surround. It just looks like they clumped cement where ever they could. Yes, I will be laying ceramic tile down. Thanks for the information.
