I personally would do the drywall first b/c then you don't have to worry about being carefull on the new HARDWOOD floor. You could actually just cut the drywall right on the current hardwood fl b/c it is going to get covered up/torn up. I actually was planning on doing this to our dining room but I would have to use the current molding/trim and we wanna put new up but it wouldn't match well w/ the old weight windows that we have now.
Window frames are painted white and we wanna do a dark color stain on the trim/molding. Good luck.

Dry wall dust is absolutely the WORST thing for the finish on a floor.

walls first

unless u plan on just hacking it in, first finish your walls and baseboard ,and butt the flooring hard to the base.i like to finish everything firat including paint then.then install the flooring. And just tough up the baseboard paint after.
