crawl space (vapor barrier)

crawl space (vapor barrier)

i need a crawl space vapor barrier bad.... were can i get one.. i have searched the internet but cant find anything... The clean space system looks real nice but i cant find where i can buy it... does home depot or lowes sell anything like this???

Yes they sure do. Both have the 6 mil poly that you want to use. Over lap it 2 ' tape all seams. 3" poly insulation on the walls up to the joist line. Cut blocks of R19 insulation and put up on the sill plate in all the joist space.Around the home

do you think 6 mil will be enough.... also the joist are pretty wet how do i go about drying them out???

6 mil will be fine! Close all vents and but a dehumdifier down their to dry it out.

i went to home depot and they had the 6 mil stuff in the paint section... what kind of tape do i use for the seams. and what do i do about the walls???

Just duct tape will work for it down there. Use a polysryrene board on the walls are they have some foam sheets that will work
