Floor squeaks from new framing blocking

I have installed a couple new floors in my remodel, new joists, etc. & they are squeaking at the blocking points. Are there any tricks of the trade to stop this squeaking? I screwed the subfloor to the blocking 4" o.c. & liquid nailed everwhere the subfloor touched the joists & blocking. Blocking is attached with (3) 16d commons on each end. It's not a lot of squeaking just one as the joists load & then again as you step off & they unload. I guess it's more of a soft "pop" more than a squeak.

Thanks,
Dan

Thumbs up Blocking the Pop

If its not to late to get at the blocking, you may want to apply a generous bead of construction adhesive on each side of the blocking where they come in contact with the floor joists.

I actually installed 3" deck screws at the top & bottom of each block on both ends & this also took care of the problem. I think the squeaking was coming from the wood rubbing on the nails.

Thanks
