Framing a Sunken Shower
I'm in the process of remodeling the master bath in our house. In the remaking of the shower I would prefer to go with no curb and even more preferably I would like a slightly sunken shower-- 6" or so.
How difficult is it to adjust the framing necessary to sink this shower 6" below the existing joist level and how is it done.
Thanks,
Joe

I take it you have pier and beam foundation. It's not that difficult to do. You'll need blocks, maybe a 4 x 6" beam and joist material. Just look at how the rest of the house is done by crawling under. Then, picture the same idea in the shower area - only smaller and lower.
Make sure you plan ahead for your drain line. You don't want new blocks, beam or joists in the way.
