wall loadbearing??

I have a 1 1/2 story new englander.. I have a wall that is running parallel to the joist (2x8), the joist span 15'6" I cant imagine it would be load bearing but just want to make sure....

edit... it is running parallel to the joist for the upstairs...

The wall running parallel to the ceiling joists is not load bearing unless it crosses under a beam holding up the remainder of the joists.
