Shower Stall Floor
I hope I have this post in the right place.
I am tiling my shower walls and intend to use a prefabed acrylic shower floor. The stall is 36x36 and the sub-floor is OSB and pretty stable; however, I am thinking if I place a piece of concrete backerboard under the shower base it would provide more support. Thoughts please on whether you think this is necessary.
Thanks so much.

Backerboard won't provide a much (if any) additional strength. If all you have is a 1/2' OSB subfloor you'll probably get some flexing. Adding 3/4" plywood on top will help provide support, but you'll also have to add some framing to nail it off. Bed the shower base in mortar to keep it from flexing.
