laying hardwood flooring

Between the hardwood flooring and the sub-floor, would I better off using red rosin paper or 15# builders felt?

Flip a coin. I like the rosin paper because it doesn't rub off like the tar on the felt paper. Personal choice. I also like to tape my joints rather than overlapping them, since that 1/16th of an inch can make a difference. You can't tape felt very well.
