Your thoughts on CDX 4 ply versus 1x6 T&G. I have used 3/4" 4 ply with an over layment of 1/2" 4 ply many times. What is your opinion of using 1x6 T&G on 16" and 12" centers cost wise and and for stability and squeaks, I will also be using a full 3/4" hardwood for the finished product. I do realize that more labor will be needed with T&G, I am concerned about the best product when completed.
I plan on building two story on a poured formed full basement in the near future in western NC

Hank: Welcome to the forums! You won't gain any strength by installing the t&g over the subflooring, then the hardwood, if that is what I read in your post. Either Advantech subflooring and plywood if you desire, then the hardwood would give the better strength, since each ply pulls in the opposite direction. How far west are you going in NC?
