header issue/ question

Ok so I'm almost done framing the new door, but I'm stalled at the header..
My question is it better to have the header level or to have the two jack studs at the same height..

I used the same procedure and wood on both sides of the frame, but for some reason when I measure the distance on each side for the jack studs the header ends up not level..

Assuming this is a bearing wall, the most important thing is to have the header up tight to the top plate, so cut the jacks tight no matter the length. If non-bearing then you can make them the same.
