I don't know how to put in hard wood floors.

We have carpet now and we started ripping it up in places. The stairs just need a little sanding but the up stairs is that cheap sticker floor. And the down stairs is just 2x4s that i think were under the original hard wood floor. All of the floors are uneven. I have 11 rooms and I am looking for the most cost efficient wood floors I can get. And I am also wanting to know how to make the floors even again. Please help me.

Some pictures of the uneven floors would be helpful.
As far as flooring goes, laminate is the most cost effective and easy to install. Check your local home center for types and cost. Buy the best you can afford.
Thanks for listening

Lauren: welcome to the forums! You can post pictures of your situation on a site such as photobucket.com and copy/paste the HTML code to a reply post and we'll be able to see what you see.
