Subflooring over outdoor carpet?

I will be enclosing my 17'X22" rear porch to use as a four seasons room, the existing concrete slab has glued outdoor carpet. I would like to know if I could just lay subflooring over the carpet rather than tackle the job of removing the carpet and adhesive.

Do yourself a favor and remove the carpet. You could have mold issues since the carpet is on concrete which will allow moisture to get to it.

And to further Bill's comments, just laying subflooring directly on the concrete slab will result in the same mold problem with the wood, so I would opt for sleepers then subflooring or a product as dri-core. But definitely remove the carpet first.
