drilling through vinyl siding

Good morning

I need to drill a 1 inch hole through vinyl siding and the plywood sheathing to run a 1 inch PVC pipe.

Any pointers as to what type of drill bit to use and the best way of doing this? With vinyl siding there are no "do overs".

thanks so much.

Use a hole saw. Measure the outside diameter of the PVC pipe to get the size of the hole saw needed.

I agree, it will give you a pilot to keep your hand steady. A 1" pvc pipe will probably take a 1 1/4" hole to fit good.
