Question Repairing Floor Joists cracking on top of Sill Plate

an older home where the first floor joists sitting on top of the sill plate are deteriorating where the joists sits on top of the plate - ie settling into the sill, small cracks and chips around the end of joists.

is there any preferred solution to rectify this? i thought about jacking and sistering the ends but then the problem might just reoccur. is there a type of plate/bracket i can put underneath the joist? i saw simpson bracket similar to this idea with large bolt coming out the bottom to rest in a concrete foundation. there isn't really a way to get any sort of joist bracket in there i don't think.

i appreciate the reply as i found nothing searching...

Is there room to nail a 2x4 to the side of the sill to prevent the joists from dropping?

Is the sill bad or the joists? A picture would help!
And..... Welcome to the forum!

Be safe, Gary
