Moving staircase...

My dad and I have finished the basement a little over a year or two ago and the staircases are all one on top of the other, leading from the basement to the attic giving access to all four floors. My dad noticed this evening that part of the wall on the staircase connecting the second and third floors of the house has only marginally separated from where it was originally built, kind of like it shifted or something. What can be done to correct this and should we be worried?

Welcome to the forums!! Hopefully it is minor. BUT, you can see it, and we can't. How 'bout posting a few pictures (not close ups and not ones from the neighbor's house) and let us see what you have. We can get it going for you. http://forum.doityourself.com/electr...your-post.html
