cement board trouble

i put down two sheets of cement board in my bathroom, and i didn't know you had to put thin set on the wood floor under it. i have already screwed it down and the tub has been installed. i have a third piece to install do i put thin set under it, and will this screw up the mesh backed tile i am going to install..i did a gut job on my bathroom..please help

Welcome to the forums! Your tub should not be sitting on cbu. The tub is normally installed prior to cbu and tile. Although not recommended, since you already have the other two pieces captive, install the final piece without it, too as you may have problems with height if you don't.

Cutting the other two pieces out and laying it all in thinset would be the best option.
