Have not covered up metal studs with sheetrock yet.

Hi, I just finished framing a basement wall with metal studs, I have not put up the sheetrock yet. Once the room is complete I plan to hang a 40 inch LCD on that wall. My question is, should I or can I re-enforce the studs with wood where the TV is going to be. Thanks I am a newbie at this, and could use all the advice I could get.

yes you should. I'd recommend that you insert wood into the studs where the TV will be, and even add blocking between the studs, just in case you need to mount between studs.
