Lightbulb Mobile home sub-floor

I have a mobile home that has some particle board damage along parts of the exterior wall. I plan on replacing damaged areas of the particle board with 5/8's plywood, then overlay the sub-floor with either 1/2 OSB or plywood. Are there any tricks to getting the particle board out from under the wall?

Thanks,

Yoopertom

Welcome to the forums!

It's an almost impossible job to remove all the PB from underneath a wall without removing the wall. You can use chisel or most anything that you can dig or pry the PB out with. There are also screws [sometimes staples] that fasten the wall thru the PB and into the joists. If the wall is plenty stable I'll just cut the old floor up to it, otherwise I'll just try to get the new partly under it.

A Toe Kick saw will cut right up to the bottom plate. Home Depot rents them.
A sawsall with a short wide course blade held at a steep angle will also work.
