How do i make a floating bulkhead.

wondering if anyone can inform me of the proper way to build a floating bulkhead like the one in the picture i attached.

do make it just like a normal bulkhead, just push the hangars in so they are hidden like in my drawing??

i am assuming building out of wood framing is the only option?

I would use metal studs to do the main frame and vertical supports. Not sure what you are going to attach it to but it must, likewise be substantial. Inset your verticals so they can't be seen, but make sure you attach them securely to the cross members. Once it is in place, you can hang your lights and sheetrock.
