Big squeek in floor I cannot fix. Please help. with video

House is only 2 years old. I cannot stand this squeek and have to fix it. I have tried adding screws that go into the joists but they do not help at all.

Please look at this video it sounds like its coming from under the wall. How do I fix?

If you think it is the wall, or under the wall, then get yourself some composite shims. Remove the carpet tack strip and baseboard molding. Drive the shims in under the wall until you capture the sound. Use a utility knife to cut the shims flush with the drywall and then re-assemble the molding and carpet. Use composite shims as they will not collapse under the weight of the wall down the road.

If you used drywall screws to try to quiet the floor down, they need to be removed. They are not strong enough for flooring applications and will break over time.

thanks for the response . I did use drywall screws at first but took them out and use some big 4" screws which didnt work at all either. I will try some shims but if that doesnt work what other option do I have other then cutting out some of the sub floor and putting in a new piece?

thanks

Lets diagnose one step at a time. I have experienced the elusive squeak that I could not correct with floor screws. turns out it was the floor flexing under the wall and riding on a nail at the same time. Sometimes takes a partner who will walk around, bounce around, jump around and whatever while you hold your ear to the ground and listen.
