What kind of framing gun nails to install strapping

Basement ceiling, 1x3 strapping, 16" OC.

I tried googling this but I am getting different answers.

8d? 10d?

Thanks!

2 1/4" common or spiral would be appropriate.

Thank you sir!

I find the minimum 25 character rule weird on this forum.
You can't just say ''thank you'' without having to add to it

It's a spam deterrent and doesn't affect members all that often.

There's a trick to it, but we won't tell......oh why not. Type your answer, run a string of periods after it, highlight the periods and change the color to white.

100 posts, I wish.

I used ring shank on my last big building and was incredibly impressed with their holding strength. Had to make some adjustments so some strapping had to be removed and replaced. It didn't want to come down.

Yeah Ring shank is what I'm going to use. I'll need them again for subfloor (under hardwood) so I'm just gonna go ahead and buy a case.

thanks again everyone!

Spaces rather than periods--but ending in a period (or any character). For some reason the board removes the spaces but still counts them ;-)
